Installation
Presentable is a Microsoft Office Add-in that runs inside PowerPoint. Installation takes about a minute.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- Microsoft PowerPoint (desktop app, Microsoft 365 or Office 2021+)
- Windows 10/11 or macOS 12+
- An active internet connection
- A Presentable account (join the waitlist for early access)
Install from the Office Add-ins Store
Section titled “Install from the Office Add-ins Store”- Open PowerPoint and create or open any presentation
- Click Insert in the top ribbon
- Click Get Add-ins (or Office Add-ins on some versions)
- In the search bar, type Presentable
- Click Add next to the Presentable listing
- Accept the permissions prompt
The Presentable icon will appear in your Home ribbon tab. Click it to open the task pane.
Install from a shared link
Section titled “Install from a shared link”If you received a direct installation link:
- Click the link — it will open the Microsoft AppSource page for Presentable
- Click Get it now
- Sign in with your Microsoft account if prompted
- Open PowerPoint — the add-in will be available automatically
Manual sideloading
Section titled “Manual sideloading”For development or early-access testing with a manifest file:
Windows
Section titled “Windows”- Open PowerPoint
- Go to Insert → Get Add-ins → My Add-ins
- Click Upload My Add-in at the bottom of the dialog
- Browse to your
manifest.xmlfile and click Upload
- Open PowerPoint
- Go to Insert → Get Add-ins → My Add-ins
- Click the ⋯ menu in the bottom-left corner
- Select Upload My Add-in
- Browse to your
manifest.xmlfile and click Upload
Microsoft 365 Admin (organization-wide)
Section titled “Microsoft 365 Admin (organization-wide)”Admins can deploy Presentable to all users in an organization:
- Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center
- Navigate to Settings → Integrated apps
- Click Upload custom apps
- Upload the manifest file and assign users or groups
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”After installation:
- Click the Presentable icon in your ribbon to open the task pane
- Click Sign in
- Enter your Presentable credentials
- The chat interface appears once authenticated
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”The add-in doesn’t appear in the ribbon
Section titled “The add-in doesn’t appear in the ribbon”- Restart PowerPoint — close all PowerPoint windows completely, then reopen
- Check if it’s installed — go to Insert → Get Add-ins → My Add-ins and look for Presentable in the list. If it’s there, click it to re-activate
- Clear the Office cache (Windows): close PowerPoint, delete the folder at
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Wef\and restart - Clear the Office cache (macOS): close PowerPoint, delete
~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Excel/Data/Documents/wef/and restart - Update PowerPoint — go to File → Account → Update Options → Update Now
”Add-in failed to load” error
Section titled “”Add-in failed to load” error”- Check your internet connection — Presentable requires an active connection to run
- Disable any VPN or firewall that might block
*.presentable.so - Try Insert → Get Add-ins → My Add-ins, remove Presentable, then reinstall
The task pane is blank or shows a white screen
Section titled “The task pane is blank or shows a white screen”- Click the × to close the task pane, then reopen it from the ribbon
- Clear your browser cache — Office add-ins use an embedded browser. On Windows, press
Ctrl+Shift+Deleteinside the task pane - Make sure your Office version is up to date
Sign-in issues
Section titled “Sign-in issues”- Verify you have an active Presentable account
- Check that cookies and JavaScript are not blocked by your organization’s group policies
- Try signing out and back in from the task pane menu
The add-in loads but nothing happens when I send a message
Section titled “The add-in loads but nothing happens when I send a message”- Check your internet connection
- Look for a warning banner at the top of the task pane — it will indicate if the service is temporarily unavailable
- Try closing and reopening the task pane
Corporate/IT restrictions
Section titled “Corporate/IT restrictions”Some organizations restrict Office add-in installation. If you see a message like “Your administrator has turned off this feature”:
- Contact your IT admin and ask them to allow the Presentable add-in
- Alternatively, your admin can deploy it organization-wide via the Microsoft 365 admin center (see above)
- Provide your admin with the Presentable manifest URL if they request it
